This course includes coding instructions for imaging of the abdominal aorta and the extremity arteries whether performed in combination or separately. Both selective and non-selective imaging procedures are explained in detail. Numerous actual case examples are presented to assist in coding from the physician documentation.

This course covers the coding of all types of percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy procedures, including coronary artery, AV hemodialysis access device, peripheral arterial, and peripheral venous thrombectomy. The different types of thrombectomy devices are described to assist in recognizing terminology associated with the procedure.

Transcatheter lower extremity arterial revascularization is coded much differently than other vascular systems. There is significantly more bundling, and the rules differ based on the specific artery intervened upon. This increases the complexity of coding for these interventions.

This course covers all vascular stent placement except those performed in the coronary, iliac, femoral, tibial, peroneal, and popliteal arteries (which have separate courses). The student will be guided through all other types of vascular stent placement procedures and the coding rules applicable to each. This includes the carotid artery, vertebral artery, TIPS, venous system, visceral arteries, renal arteries, and other vascular systems.

This course covers all of the diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedure codes. We discuss when each code is used, what is included, and when to report add-on codes. Case examples are presented to assist in converting a physician dictated report into CPT codes.

This module covers transcatheter electrophysiology procedures. Diagnostic pacing, recording, arrhythmia induction, and mapping are discussed in detail, as well as therapeutic ablative procedures. Coding rules for each common combination of procedures are explained followed by actual case examples of each to demonstrate the documentation that supports each separately reportable procedure code.

This module covers the appropriate coding of all procedures regarding cardiac pacemakers. This includes device placement, replacement, and removal, as well as electrode placement, replacement, repair, and removal.

This module demonstrates appropriate coding for all transvenous ICD procedures, including implantation, revision, replacement, and upgrade. It also covers procedures involving electrodes, such as replacement, repair, repositioning, and insertion.
