2024 - CPT Coding for Lower Extremity Arterial Endovascular Revascularization

Transcatheter lower extremity arterial revascularization is coded much differently than other vascular systems. There is significantly more bundling, and the rules differ based on the specific artery intervened upon. This increases the complexity of coding for these interventions.

This course examines the three different lower extremity territories for revascularization (iliac, femoral-popliteal, and tibial-peroneal) and the specific rules surrounding each territory. There are numerous case examples that demonstrate the usage of the codes and how they are applied when performed in a single territory and in multiple territories. Bundling issues are addressed in order to clarify what can and cannot be reported separately. After completing this course, you will be able to accurately code lower extremity arterial endovascular procedures. Please note this eLearning course expires on 12/31/2024.
