Tikosyn EKG study

Date: Aug 22, 2012

Question:

Dear Dr. Z, Thank you for all of the valuable information you have given me in the past, it is so nice to be able to turn to an expert whenever I am having difficulties. My question today is about a Tikosyn EKG study. This has been described to me as a series of EKGs at defined intervals of ½ to 1 hour with a medication given to see the reaction on the EKG. I think this should be coded as an unlisted procedure, CPT 93799. Is this correct or is there another CPT code I should be using, or should I not use any CPT code? Thanks in advance for your help.
