33229

Date: Mar 22, 2012

Question:

We have a patient that received a down grade in their device, due to an increased ejection fraction. They went from a BIV ICD, to a BIV PPM. My question is do we bill the 33229 code, or do I need to bill the removal of an ICD, and the placement of the new BIV PPM generator, since we are dealing with two different types of devices. Thank You
