Question:

I have a question about your response #2884 dated 5/27/11. Why would you recommend 36011, first order selective venous. I have a similar encounter. "a 5 french angiographic catheter was manipulated into the large venous side branch arising from the middle of the patient's left radiocephalic fistula (i.e. forearm cephalic vein). This venous side branch was successfully occluded using six 5mm diameter embolization coils and standard embolization techniques. We coded 36012 for catheter placement.
