Question:

High grade stenosis at cephalic/subclavian junction of AV fistula; atherectomy of stenosis using Diamondback device.Fluoroscopy used, cannulation of AV fistula on arterial site, fistulogram , patent arterial side anastomosis. On the venous side of the fistula, multiple areas of stenoses seen, especially 95% at cephalic/subclavian junction. Atherectomy performed using Diamondback device, total spin time was 1 minutes. Stenosis improved to 60%;decision to perform balloon angioplasty at the same site. Subsequent fistulogram performed revealing complete restoration of the caliber of the vessel.
