At the sacrococcygeal region, a 3.5 x 22 gauge needle was advanced into the sacrococcygeal joint. An arthrogram was then performed, which showed good intraarticular positioning of the needles. At this point, aspiration was negative for blood and CSF, and a total of 40 mg of Depo-Medrol and 1 cc of 0.25% Marcaine were injected into the sacrococcygeal joint without complications."
