Balloon Tamponade and Coil Deployment to Occlude Septal Perforator

Date: Nov 18, 2021

Question:

How would you code this?

"We attempted to advance a catheter at that time and noted there is dye extravasation in the distal portion of the LAD. We performed balloon tamponade using 2.5 x 15 to the distal portion of the LAD. However despite multiple attempts at balloon tamponade we were unsuccessful. Continued to notice dye extravations. We then wered into the septal and performed balloon tamponade of the septal perforator. Patient went into v-fib requiring defib. We then decided to deploy coils to occlude the septal perforator. A catheter was advanced over a wire and 2mm/4cm coils were deployed in the septal perforator ultimately obtaining hemostasis."
