Question:

Dr. Z, I need some advice. I had always had the idea that when there is no site specific code for an abscess drainage, we should report 10160. Recently I encountered another source that advises the use of code 20000 for drainage of an abscess or fluid collection when there is no site specific code. What are your thoughts on this?
