While ZHealth Publishing's collection of medical coding eLearning courses include sixteen courses that focus on our core coding areas of interventional radiology, cardiology, and vascular surgery, we also have additional CPT and ICD-9 coding topics as well. You can earn CEU credits at your convenience and your pace online. All courses offer CEUs for one or more specific accreditation organization (AAPC, ASRT, or AHIMA).

CPT Coding for AV Dialysis Access Imaging and Intervention

All forms of dialysis access devices are discussed in the context of CPT procedure coding for diagnostic imaging and maintenance procedures. Filming and interventions on AV shunts and fistulas, as well as dialysis catheter insertion and follow-up procedures are discussed in detail. The student should be able to confidently select the appropriate CPT codes to describe percutaneous procedures performed with imaging guidance to support dialysis access.  CIRCC Certified

CPT Coding for Cervicocerebral Arteriography

This course takes the student through normal and aberrant cervicocerebral anatomy related to coding selective catheter placement. The rules for coding diagnostic angiography of the cervical and cerebral carotid arteries, arch aorta, vertebral arteries, cerebral arteries, brachiocephalic artery and subclavian arteries are explained in detail, followed by numerous case studies to assist the student in determining from a physician report the appropriate codes to assign for the case. CPT Coding for Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization

This module provides a tutorial on how we have arrived at the current situation regarding the methodology of payment for medical services. It is beneficial to know how we got here when trying to understand the complexity of payment formulas. The effect of charges on payment is discussed to help the student understand why charges are still important when payment is fee schedule based.
