This Webinar will start with basics to help successfully choose the correct catheter selection codes during complex diagnostic and interventional cases. It will focus on physician documentation, anatomy – normal and variant, vascular systems, vascular orders, families, and selective versus non-selective catheter positions.

Procedures supporting abscess drainage, such as drainage tube placement, aspiration of the abscess, imaging evaluation of the abscess cavity, drainage tube replacement, etc., will be extensively discussed. The differences between abscess drainage and cyst aspiration procedures and their respective coding rules will be included. The types of tumor ablation procedures performed and the coding guidelines for each will also be covered.
