Frequently Asked Questions

for ZHealth Online Members

Q. How long does it take for a question submitted to Ask Dr. Z to be answered? Will all of the questions I submit be answered?

A. Although not all questions that are posted are answered, we try to answer as many questions as possible (which is approximately 50-60% of those submitted now over the past four years). There is not a set turn-around time – or guarantee -- for answering questions that are posted by members. Typically, it takes only 1-2 weeks (and sometimes less), but it can take 3-4 weeks if extensive research is needed. Only questions that fall into the categories of interventional radiology, cardiology or vascular-endovascular surgery, are pertinent to a wide audience of members, and have not been addressed before are answered. The answers may all be posted on one day of the week – or posted throughout the week. Dr. Z or Dr. Dunn answers/reviews each question that is posted in the database. We suggest that you do a quick search of your potential question before you post your question because one that is very similar, may already be answered and online already! If a question you posted is answered you will receive a personal email when it is answered notifying you that it can be viewed.

Q. How do I find an answer to a question that I need in the Ask Dr. Z Database?

A. We have provided you a very powerful, easy-to-use search tool for quickly finding the information you need. You can do a typical Google-like search – using individual words or phrases (and with italics for exact phrases) – and get the most relevant Q & A's, immediately – out of more than 1500 current Q & A's posted. Plus, we always post the 15 most recent Q & A's online.

Q. How often are answers to members' coding questions posted?

A. At a minimum, we answer 5 questions each week – and often many more. The answers may be posted all on one day of the week, or posted throughout the week.

Q. Is there any limit to the number of coding questions I can ask while I'm a member of ZHealth Online?

A. No limit. Just remember, the best, most relevant questions that have not been answered before get chosen -- without regard to who submitted them.

Q. How will I know if my question is answered? Will you notify me?

A. Yes, we will send you an email, but just in case, check back into your account 1-2 weeks after you've submitted your question to see if it was posted (and as mentioned, it could take longer). And see the 15 Most Recent Q & A's online.

Q. What if I have questions regarding the answer to my coding question? How do I get clarification?

A. Please submit the issue you need clarified as another question, referencing that you need to know more regarding a question you had previously asked (and was answered). You will be provided additional information in an expedited manner.

Q. If I submit a coding question will my identity be shown?

A. No, all questions are posted without identification of who asked them. However, if you manually type your name in with your question, it will show as part of the question.

Q. I cannot get into my ZHealth Online account. How do I get access?

A. Sometimes, we have found that members misplace their password (or are trying to use one that's incorrect – very typical with all of the passwords people have online these days!) If you think that may be the case, just enter your log in email address, and request that your password be emailed to you. Or you can call our offices directly at 615.807.1152 (9:00-5:00PM CST Mon-Fri), and we will be glad to assist you. Note that you can change your account contact/billing information at anytime once you are logged in.

Q. How do I renew my account (if it's expired or not)?

A. If you pay annually, you will receive email reminders approximately 30 and 15 days before the end of your term. Once you have logged in, go to your Account, and then see the Renew My Membership tab. If your account has expired, log in, and you will be given instructions on how to renew online.

Q. My ZHealth Online account has expired, and I cannot renew online. What do I do?

A. This happens very infrequently with our new website, but in case it does, you can call our offices directly at 615.807.1152 (9:00-5:00PM CST Mon-Fri) and we will be glad to assist you.

Q. Can I switch from a monthly membership to an annual membership (as an individual)?

A. Yes, contact us at 615-807-1152 from 9:00am until 5:00pm Central Time Mon-Fri, and we will make that change for you.

Q. What if I want to cancel my membership?

A. If you pay on a monthly basis, within your account you can cancel at any point, effective at the end of the current month. If you are paying annually, you can cancel your annual membership, effective only at the end of your 12 month term.

Q. What if I'm not getting my ZHealth Online email newsletters twice a month?

A. This sometimes happens, especially with individuals at larger organizations that have spam filters and/or firewalls that inadvertently prevent you from receiving emails from drz@zhealthpublishing.com (or other zhealthpublishing.com domain). First, check with your technical staff to see if they can enable our emails to be received. If you are still having an issues receiving our emails, please call us directly at 615.807.1152 (9:00-5:00PM CST Mon-Fri), and we'll double-check to see if emails are being sent to your email address. If you have problems in the interim, we always post all ZHealth Online newsletters online.

Q. Does your website site have an area where we can post questions for other members to respond to?

A. No. Our experience has been that many of the answers posted at these sites are someone's opinion not based on coding rules. We are confident that the questions we answer are well researched and use current information. We believe it would to lessen the value of the site by opening the door to possible inaccurate information being shared on the site.
