Additional information about ZHealth coding services
A. When ZHealth was established in 2000 it partnered with Ingram & Associates (now part of Ingenix) for marketing of its services, as they were already in the markets that ZHealth would be beneficial to. The partnership has benefited both companies, and so ZHealth continues to perform coding consulting consulting services under the Ingram (and now Ingenix) name.
A. We continue to see a greater than 50% error rate on cases audited. This is often due to process issues that go undetected. In addition, not all questions are answered on the website (about 50%) and what may be the correct codes to assign in one situation may be different in another. Each case should be evaluated individually.
A. Yes, the information is sent to the corporate office in Nashville, Tennessee, and then one of the physicians normally comes on site to present the findings. On-site consulting services for process improvement are provided by trained non-physician consultants.

A. Yes, we can code individual cases; however, since we provide volume discounting, it is expensive when you only submit one or two cases. A better option is our Educational Standards Improvement Program (ESIP). This coding program includes a package of services and products, to include case review, to assist the facility in improving the accuracy of its coding. We believe this is one of the most valuable services we provide for facilities that are comfortable with their current process and coding skills and is the closest thing we have to being on a retainer with a facility.
A. We have two options: on-site education or webinars. One of our physicians can come on site and provide education tailored to your specific needs. You determine the content, the number of education sessions, and who will attend. It is billed at a per day fee. If you are willing to participate in a learning process that extends over a longer period of time, the webinars are a great option. You can have as many people as you can get in one room to listen to our webinars. It is the least costly option of our educational offerings. It depends on the depth and breadth of education you desire and how urgent your need as to which option is best for you.
