Additional information about ZHealth Publishing eBooks
A. One great reason is the convenience of having the eBook on your PC or laptop at all times (versus dragging around a 550-600+ page coding manual). Also, because it’s in a familiar PDF format, you’ll be able to easily jump back and forth in the eBook and search for what you want to find, digitally, versus thumbing through pages for several minutes.
You can use your eBook as a “teaching” tool and project any diagrams or parts of the book via your PC, which is great for meetings! Plus, it’s available on demand without waiting for the book to arrive, and there are no shipping costs. Note also, that each year the eBook versions are typically available 30 days before the hardcopy versions are printed and shipped.
A. No, the content is exactly the same.
A. Absolutely, and the price is the same for each version ($295 per copy - but no shipping charges for the eBook!). Also, pricing for a set of each of the 3 coding eBooks is discounted (the same as hard copy books), and multiple orders of the same eBook are discounted the same as with the hard copies. At various times during the year we may offer time-limited specials if you purchase both versions at the same time.
A. Beginning in 2009, ZHealth coding references have been print-enabled. You are allowed to print pages or sections of the eBook versions for your personal use. Still, though, the printable eBook versions are under copyright protection, and you may not distribute duplicate copies. Note that prior to 2008, ZHealth eBooks were not printable.
A. All of the eBooks are typically available for downloading, previewing, and purchasing in December prior to the year of publication (e.g., 2010 eBooks are available in December 2009, 2011 ebooks are available in December 2010). Hard copy and CD sample download versions typically ship within 30 days of eBook availability (usually in January).
A. The activation key that you will receive by email after you purchase your eBook (and give you access to the eBook) is good for a single activation at a time. However, you can switch the computer it’s activated on as frequently as you would like (e.g., from desktop to laptop and vice-versa). As long as the sample file has been downloaded to whichever computer you would like to move your eBook to, all you have to do is deactivate the eBook on one computer (the same place you activated it is where you’ll also deactivate it) and then re-activate it using the same key on the new computer. Your activation key allows for ONE activation at a time. You will be unable to activate it on a new computer until it has been deactivated on the other.
A. That depends mainly on your internet connection speed, but assuming that you have a reasonable high speed network, it should typically take only about 10 minutes. Each book file is about 135-175 MB, mainly because of the extensive image files in each of the eBooks.
A. Yes. You download a sample version of the eBook, then once you purchase the book you receive a "key" to activiate the book. The sample can be downloaded from our website or a CD sample version can be shipped (shipping charges apply).
A. Sorry, but at this time, ZHealth coding eBooks work on PCs – but not Macs.
A. Two ways: You can first check out the eBook “Sampler(s)” (with no obligation to purchase), or you can purchase your eBook(s) and then download your eBook file (and access the whole eBook). If you purchase a ZHealth eBook (before downloading the Sampler) you will receive an email with a Download link and an Activation Key.
In either case, you need to click appropriate link for the eBook you want to preview (or purchase) to download that eBook file to your computer. IMPORTANT: When a prompt pops up that asks if you’d like to Run or Save the file, click SAVE. You can now choose where you want the file to be saved (i.e., your desktop or your My Documents folder). Once it finishes downloading, simply open the file (from wherever you saved it) to browse through the Sampler.
If you purchase first, once you’ve received your Activation Key, go to the sample eBook and locate the “eBook” menu option located at the top left-hand corner of the screen. Under this, you’ll find the option to activate the eBook. Enter your activation key here, and you will “unlock” the complete eBook.
If you are initially previewing the Sampler and then want to purchase the complete eBook, simply click the “Buy This eBook Now!” button located at the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will direct you to the appropriate ZHealth webpage to enter your credit card information. Once the transaction is complete, you’ll receive your activation key via email. Once you’ve received your activation key, return to the sample eBook and locate the “eBook” menu option located at the top left-hand corner of the screen. Under this, you’ll find the option to activate the eBook. Enter your activation key here, and you will “unlock” the complete eBook. No additional download necessary!
Note that you can also purchase by check/money order or by Purchase Order (if you are a hospital). Just see the information on the right hand side of the appropriate eBook page for instructions.
