Over the past eight years, ZHealth Publishing has built a reputation for excellence in the world of interventional radiology, cardiology, and vascular/endovascular surgery coding. ZHealth Publishing’s sole purpose is to help medical coders and billers, clinicians (including physicians, nurses, technologists), consultants, and other healthcare professionals to improve coding compliance and, in many cases, reimbursement – for interventional radiology, cardiovascular, and vascular/endovascular procedures performed in hospitals, physician offices, and other medical facilities. These intertwined clinical areas remain among the most complex, challenging, and important in all of medical coding, and ZHealth Publishing continues to develop coding products to help you do your very best coding and charge entry each day.
The Medical Coding Marketplace
Based in Nashville, TN, ZHealth Publishing started in 2002 when we published our first Interventional Radiology Coding Reference in 2003. ZHealth Publishing was founded as a means of providing educational tools to those involved in the coding of interventional radiology procedures. The Interventional Radiology Coding Reference quickly became the “go-to” guide for coding these types of procedures. As both an expert coder as well as an interventional radiologist, Dr. Z recognizes the complexity of coding these intricate procedures and is able to offer a unique perspective to his readers.
Over the years, ZHealth Publishing has expanded to include reference guides for vascular and endovascular surgery as well as cardiovascular coding. Many of those involved with the coding of interventional radiology procedures are also involved with the coding of vascular surgery and cardiovascular procedures. As these types of procedures have become more interrelated over time, Dr. Z responded in 2007 by adding two new reference guides to his medical coding series: the Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Coding Reference and the Diagnostic & Interventional Cardiovascular Coding Reference. Both coding manuals have quickly become as popular as their predecessor.
In addition to coding books, ZHealth Publishing has added medical coding resources that include four live seminars per year held in outstanding venues across the country, ZHealth Online - our online coding community, a complete series of webinars given by our coding eperts, self-study eLearning courses, and specialized CIRCC preparatory courses.
While ZHealth Publishing remains focused on interventional radiology, cardiology, and vascular/endovascular surgery coding, we expanded our new eLearning Courses into other coding areas in 2009. We have continued to listen carefully to our customers and provide the types of coding information in the formats and venues – and at the price points – that you need.
